Foundation for Cancer Care in Tanzania

Phase II

ENHANCE PATIENT CARE (INPATIENT WARD & FAMILY CARE HOSTEL)

In Progress (2018 – 2020)

This is the current phase focused on building an inpatient ward to provide a designated facility with cancer-specific care, and a family care hostel to help encourage completion of treatment.

The hostel will offer shelter, support and hope for patients and families receiving cancer treatment at KCMC, eliminating barriers to care - including housing, bathroom and shower facilities. A shared kitchen, living area and children’s playground are part of the hostel plan.

We are excited to announce that we have launched a GoFundMe campaign specifically to raise funds for the Family Care Hostel at KCMC. You can help us publicize this campaign on Facebook and Twitter or make a donation by going to https://www.gofundme.com/family-care-hostel
