Why Donate?

We are working in Tanzania because we believe that hope and dignity are not commodities reserved to the global elite – they are fundamental human rights, deserved by all.

Our commitment to improving cancer care in northern Tanzania lives through the generosity of our donors, volunteers and advocates. Every contribution–whether it’s a little time or a lot of money–helps to ensure that the 3,600 northern Tanzanians diagnosed with cancer each year have access to the quality care that is their right.

  • The World Health Organization reported that 80% of Tanzanians diagnosed with cancer will die – often a long and painful death.
  • About a third of these cancers could be prevented if they lived in a high-income country.
  • Another third could be treated effectively if diagnosed early.

Very simply, your support will help save lives.
